The latest reports coming out of Korea are stating that development of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is already well underway and that this exciting new device will feature a screen measuring 5.9 inches. The Korea Times is the publication that have broken the news and they state that the information has come directly from Samsung themselves. Not only is the screen size of the new model discussed but also the release date of the handset which is said to be in the second half of the year, the time when we traditionally see a new Galaxy note handset arrive. The 5.9 inch screen is larger than the 5.5 inch offering found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and this comes as no great surprise with the new Galaxy S4 set to boast a 5 inch screen. The boost in size will help keep a sizeable difference between the displays on the two ranges of models.
The screen size may be increasing on the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but it look as though Samsung are once again set to use Super AMOLED technology which has proven itself over the past two years to be the best type of mobile display. We will however see an increase in resolution with the new model set to boast 1080P quality, just like the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S4. This latest news about the size of the new display is in contrast to earlier reports that stated that the model would boast a 6.3 inch screen. It is believed that early reaction to this news was not good with many consumers believing that the 6 inch plus size would make the handset to large to be practical. Other features set to appear on the Note 3 include an Octa core processor and a new 13 mega pixel camera facility.
It looks as though the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is set to arrive later in the year and consumers will be treated to a new 5.9 inch display on this eagerly awaited model.
